Marjorie Eden (1887-1943). Marjorie [or Miss Eden] is the subject of the rare
watercolor portrait you already have on your site (I believe it dates

This is one
of my vary favorite paintings. The symmetry of the columns, the foreshortening,
the fountain in the background with the open patio and the play of light and
shades. This painting works very well on many levels and this image (along with
the close-up) works well in this
medium.

"Perseus" is located at Loggia dei Lanzi, Florence. He would visit
this area a number of times and would do many sketches and paintings of
"perseus" from just about every possible vantage and medium.
