Julia Fulton was the eldest daughter of Robert Fulton and Harriet (Livingston) Fulton. She was married to Charles Blight of Philadelphia in 1831. Although she was an associate member of the National Academy of Design from 1828 to 1831, she never exhibited her work at the Academy, and her career in art seems to have ended with her marriage.
