Wertheimer family. Almina was Asher Wertheimer’s fifth daughter. She is

I saw
[Alpine Pool on tour] today (here in San Diego, CA) and purchased the Exhibit
book for American Impressionists Abroad and at Home.
The photo
in the book does a complete injustice to the painting. I would like to see a

searching for the identity of this sitter -- if you know please write.
I received
an interested e-mail [in 1999]. Graham Dugas (gd ug as@bigfoot.com)
apparently had this painting and wanted to know its value and how to sell it. I
directed him as best I could.
He had very
little information and was seeking the identity of the sitter.

left). It is where Sargent stayed with the Curtises' (Ralph Curtis and his
parents) when he was there.
