Charlotte Eckerman (Charlotta Beata; 1759 - 16 January in Stockholm 1790), was a Swedish opera singer and actress. She was also a very well known courtesan during the Gustavian era, and the official royal mistress of Charles XIII of Sweden from 1779 to 1781

In Greek mythology, Danae was a daughter of King Acrisius of Argos and Eurydice. She was the mother of Perseus by Zeus. She was sometimes credited with founding the city of Ardea in Latium.
