Charles Harold Davis

Charles H. Davis (1856-1933) spent nearly 10 years near Barbizon, France and was a leading exponant of the Barbizon style. In 1891 he left France for Mystic, CT, where he established an art colony and spent the rest of his life. His style eventually transformed from Tonalism to Impressionism.
