Do you have any knowledge of the builder or owner of the Scooner Catherine Somes?
I have been doing genealogy on the Welch family of Wells, ME and back in 1727/8 there was a marriage between David Welch and Catherine Somes. I'm researching the chance that David and Catherine were the parents of my grandfather. I saw a photo of the painting "Schooner, Catherine Somes and thought I'd ask if you knew anything about it.
