Olde Hope Antiques was established July 4, 1976, by Edwin Hild and Patrick Bell in New Hope, Pennsylvania. After several years of dealing in a general line of merchandise, the focus of interest became American painted furniture and folk art.

Today the firm is recognized as one of the leading sources for exceptional examples of American country furniture in original paint, folk paintings, weathervanes and folk sculpture, textiles, and related country accessories.

In September of 2001, after having an open shop for 25 years, it was time for a change and the open sign came down. Inventory is now shown by appointment and we can also be seen at some of the finest antiques shows including The Winter Antiques Show and The Philadelphia Antiques Show. For a current list of our shows, please visit our Shows section. Our ads can be seen regularly in such periodicals as “The Magazine Antiques”, “Antiques and Fine Art”, “Maine Antiques Digest”, “Antiques and The Arts Weekly”, and “Folk Art”.
