Established in 1857, GRAHAM is one of the oldest family-owned galleries in the United States. Located at 32 East 67th Street, the gallery specializes in Contemporary art, 19th and 20th Century American paintings, American and European sculpture and British ceramics. We represent a number of living artists and regularly place historic works in museums and important collections. 

The original founder, Samuel Graham, first opened a business on 66 Third Avenue dealing furniture. His son James Graham expanded the firm to include bronzes, prints, and paintings acquired on his regular trips to Europe. Rare silver, oil paintings, and Chinese porcelain were then included under his son, James A. Graham. Sculpture and Western Art became a major part of the gallery beginning in 1937 under James R. Graham, who ran the gallery alongside his brother, Robert C. Graham, Sr. who incorporated important Modernist artists into the gallery. Robert C. Graham, Jr. carries on the legacy of the Graham family in its fifth generation today as the gallery’s chairman.
