Settled in Cincinnati in 1817; visited the Galena lead mines in 1822, settling in the country in the following year; located ten years later in Iowa county; he served in the Territorial legislature in 1842, and again in the session of Dec., 1843- Jan., 1844. Died at Shullsburg, July 7,1865."
